Privacy policy

Effective June 11, 2026

1800airfare.com is a phone-first airfare service: you search or read our guides online, and a flight expert completes the booking with you by phone. This page explains what information the website collects, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the contact details you give us so an expert can call you back, we measure how the site is used (including which AI assistant referred you), and we never collect payment details on this website.

Information you give us

When you submit a callback or quote form, we collect what you enter: your name (optional), phone number and/or email address (at least one is required), and the trip details the form carries — for example origin and destination, travel month, passenger count, cabin, or the hotel and number of nights you were viewing. Every form submission requires your explicit consent to be contacted about your trip.

We do not collect payment information on this website. No card number, CVV, or billing details are entered, transmitted, or stored here — payment is handled with your booking agent on the phone.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks on our phone number, and form submissions. Google Analytics sets the _ga cookie to recognize your browser across pages; when you submit a lead form we attach that analytics identifier to your inquiry so we can connect the inquiry to the visit that produced it.

If you arrive from an AI assistant — for example a link or referral from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini — we record which assistant referred you (from the referring site or a tag in the link). We use this only to understand which channels send visitors and to route inquiries; it does not change the service you receive.

How we use your information

  • To call or email you back about the trip you asked about — the purpose you gave us the details for.
  • To notify our booking team of your inquiry the moment it arrives (inquiries are routed to an internal team channel).
  • To measure which pages, campaigns, and AI assistants bring visitors who become inquiries, so we invest in the right channels.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

  • Google Analytics 4 — usage measurement, as described above.
  • Slack — our internal lead notification (your inquiry details reach the booking team’s private channel).
  • Travel suppliers — when you proceed to book by phone, the details needed to price and ticket your itinerary are shared with airlines and booking systems as part of completing the reservation.

How long we keep it

Inquiry records are kept for as long as we need them to handle your request, follow up on your trip, and meet legal and accounting obligations for completed bookings. If you want an inquiry removed, contact us (below) and we will delete it unless a booking made from it requires us to retain records.

Cookies and your choices

  • The _ga cookies belong to Google Analytics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google’s browser add-on. The site works fully without analytics cookies.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the contact details and inquiry records we hold about you.
  • If you asked for a callback and changed your mind, tell the agent who calls or contact us and we will close the inquiry.

AI assistants and automated agents

Our flight tools can be used by AI assistants on your behalf — for example an assistant may request a callback for you with the trip details you discussed in chat. The same rules apply: the assistant sends us only contact details and trip context, never payment information, and the inquiry is handled by a human expert who calls you. Details for agent developers are on our for-agents page.

Contact us

For any privacy question or request, call us 24/7 at +1 (202) 499-2532 and ask for a privacy request — the team will route it to the right person.

Changes to this policy

When our data practices change, we update this page and its effective date. Significant changes are noted here rather than silently revised.
